Dami Dare

I enjoy work that brings together analysis, planning and people. My experience spans data and financial analysis, supporting procurement and inventory management, monitoring shipment performance, and coordinating teams and workloads. I particularly enjoy using data to understand problems and working with people to find practical solutions.

Alongside my practical experience, I hold an MBA in International Business Management. I’m eligible to work in the Netherlands without employer sponsorship and hold a Dutch driving licence.

Based in Apeldoorn, I enjoy walks in nature, art and museums, and watching football and motorsport.

Experience

Manager

Check in Cleaning B.V. · Amsterdam

–

At Check in Cleaning, I combined day-to-day team leadership with staff planning, stock control and performance reporting. Keeping track of daily progress helped me get to know the team. What I enjoyed most was seeing their strengths, noticing early when someone needed support and helping the team stay motivated.

  • Led daily employee briefings to communicate task assignments, operational priorities and special requests.
  • Used operational planning software for occupancy forecasting, seasonal workforce planning and employee scheduling.
  • Managed stock levels of operational supplies and placed replenishment orders based on occupancy forecasts and work schedules.
  • Recorded each employee's completed work and tracked productivity in Excel, including time per room, to spot early when the schedule or targets were at risk.
  • Shared operational updates with engineering, front desk and customer service to keep departments aligned.
  • Reported day-to-day operational performance and progress to the area manager.

Business Operations Analyst

DHL (via Temper B.V.) · Utrecht

–

At DHL, I worked with warehouse supervisors, planners, customer service and transport teams to keep shipments moving. My day could involve reviewing shipment KPIs, using Excel to plan for peak periods, or investigating what was holding up a delivery. I particularly enjoyed the mix of cultures, backgrounds and personalities, and the clear communication it called for.

  • Joined morning briefings to review daily tasks and operational priorities with colleagues.
  • Kept track of shipments and of KPIs for on-time delivery, accuracy, productivity and backlog, and summarised them in daily and weekly reports.
  • Used Excel to forecast shipment volumes, identify trends and peak periods, and support shipment scheduling and operational planning.
  • Performed root-cause analysis of delivery delays and other deviations to identify bottlenecks and support follow-up actions.
  • Prepared inbound and outbound shipment documentation and checked shipment and inventory records in ERP/WMS systems.
  • Collaborated cross-functionally with warehouse supervisors, planners, customer service and transport teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Analysed inefficient workflows and contributed to process improvements aimed at reducing delays, errors and unnecessary manual work.

Junior Supply Chain Analyst

Ministry of Agriculture · Uyo, Nigeria

–

At the Ministry of Agriculture, I worked in different parts of the agricultural supply chain, from harvesting and raw-material sourcing to processing, marketing and distribution. Following products such as canned tomato paste from the field to the finished product showed me how closely each step is connected: a sourcing choice affects quality, processing and what can finally be delivered. That was the part I enjoyed most.

  • Rotated across raw-material sourcing, supply chain operations, quality control and inventory management.
  • Sourced tomato varieties for canned tomato paste, reviewing cultivation methods, fertiliser and pesticide use, and whether production was organic.
  • Used warehouse management systems (WMS) and Excel to support day-to-day inventory management, data analysis and reporting.
  • Analysed procurement, inventory and logistics data to support planning for agricultural products, from raw-material sourcing through processing to distribution.
  • Supported budgeting, reporting and supplier-performance monitoring.

Financial Analyst Intern

Polaris Bank · Ibadan, Nigeria

–

At Polaris Bank, I gained my first experience as an analyst, supporting the digital banking and E-Channels team, where IT and finance meet. Working with transaction data, I learned that a number is only useful once you know it’s right and understand what’s behind it.

  • Retrieved transaction and customer account data, including sales data from business clients using the bank's point-of-sale (POS) system, and organised it in Excel.
  • Validated and reconciled transaction information and compared records to find where discrepancies came from.
  • Analysed historical sales and transaction volumes in Excel to spot patterns and changes in customer activity and forecast busier and quieter periods.
  • Helped prepare credit assessments for commercial property loans, based on clients' transaction volumes.
  • Helped prepare internal reports, documentation and information for audits, following the bank's internal control procedures.
